2020 Premium Malbec

Malbec found its way into the Ash Ridge Range in 2013 as an experiment. The quality of the wine has meant our reputation for Malbec has grown rapidly so that those in the know eagerly await the release of the next vintage. Small quantities of this superb wine require you to get in quick to secure your share!

100% Single estate grown, Bridge Pa Triangle, Hawkes Bay.

Sensory Evaluation:

Colour: Deep dark and dense.

Aroma: Bold with layers of blackberries, cherries, and a hint of chocolate.

Palate: Mouth filling tannin structure with dark and juicy fruit flavour and a hint of spice.

Food Matches:

We think the best match for this is a block of dark chocolate and a warm fireplace. Soft enough to skip the chocolate.

Cellaring:

This is an early drinking style, but will cellar well for 3-7 years.
